Discussing the adoption process

27 Sep Discussing the adoption process

When my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to add a furry addition to our family, we knew the only option for us was adoption. While the process took about 4 months, which was longer than we had expected and felt frustrating at times, I would not have changed a thing. Those multiple visits to our local ASPC allowed us to truly narrow down exactly what we were looking for in a dog and with so much turn over, there were new dogs for us to meet on a weekly basis. In the end, we found the love of our life, Fozzie. A cuddle bug, goofball, whose never met another dog he didn’t love, Fozzie came to us as potty-trained and well-adjusted 6th month old. From his age to his domineer, he had every single quality we had been looking for in a dog. Within moments of meeting him, he had stolen our hearts and I knew our patience had far exceeded its payoff.
